You two did a fantastic job discussing and breaking down some very HOT topics in PA. I really feel the better solution to the Saturday/Sunday/Monday debate is to move the season back one week. The day really isnt the issue, its the holiday. Ive seen Nick get alot of things done, but moving Thanksgiving maybe a bit much. And for Beau i think they could add some more archery in the gap after bear season. Win-win.

Good listening to. It's cool to hear from other PA hunters. I feel the same way about the Saturday hunting, and I'm 51. I passed up shooting a few smaller bucks and haven't shot a bigger deer in 5 yrs. Life is short, have fun, and praise God!

In PA there is an invisible line that runs N/S at about Bedford on the turnpike. Those to the east call soda “soda”. Those to the west call it “pop”. Them yinzers talk funny. 😅

The Saturday opener is awesome. It gets my kids and I in the woods hunting 3.5 days instead of 1.5. If you don't want to hunt on Saturday you don't have to. Why take away more opportunity? I usually love you content, but this is off the mark.

Pretty sweet setup and I am glad that you have reached a point where you can get an $1,800 bow. I have never held a carbon bow before whether it’s from Hoyt, PSE or Bowtech, etc… I know Prime your previous bow manufacturer doesn’t offer one. If I had the money to get another bow to relegate my Prime Black 3 to a backup bow it most likely would be the Hoyt Alpha X with the GoStix2, since I have no way of getting elevated and hunt from the ground. I had issues with the bow stands that go on your limbs. I have lost 2-3 of them in the woods since they twist and don’t stay on. I however plan on buying a new product from Cutter Stabilizers that are similar in some ways but different and will attach behind the stabilizer. I like how the bow and sight matches your khaki shorts 🩳 there Beau. 😎🏹🦌

I’m buying eather the ethos or Hoyt just because of the 1/4 inch adjustment.a lot of people are not shooting the perfect drawlength,you won’t believe how much better you can hold on target ,and more accurate,and how your hinge release will break having the perfect drawlength.and I’ve been shooting strictly Mathew’s sence the mq1.

Love Hoyt just can’t back the Chinese carbon risers.

You should have a live meet and greet and a scouting session up in the Pa wilds. Charge a fee, Dan Infault does it and they are a huge hit. Of course I am a central Pa resident so I’d be down.

Yep I'm a walking testimonial to heavy pack first time out west experience! 2 years ago me and a buddy from east got to a wilderness area in Co with heavy packs mine being 88lb. 3 unloads of dry packs full stashed off trail within 1 mile still too heavy around 60lb then my 12lb rifle on that was just bad. Still packed in stayed 5 days did not have great success but learned valuable lessons for sure still looking for redeption. Or I still have a bad taste in my mouth and want redemption!

If youre going to have a conversation like this, you need to have proper representation of the other side of the debate. Otherwise its not worth continuing to listen to. My camp is in north central PA. Unlike the saturday crowd its open 36-40weeks a year, and openned in march or april each year. Unlike apparently most of the fudds who open their camp thanksgiving weekend. I couldnt disagree more vehemently with the against saturday openner group unless i went to war against them.
